1/24/2024 0 Comments Fallout new vegas lonesome road![]() riot armor, superior to the pre-War 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment riot armor. You won’t be disappointed. The elite riot gear is a unique armor and the most advanced model of L.A.P.D. Considering this as a total package, I would recommend this for all those Fallout fans out there despite the shortcomings. I feel players will appreciate the story line extension and just the sheer amount of things there are to do in the expansion. This isn’t the best piece of DLC that has been released but that doesn’t mean that the DLC is not worth playing. Despite its shortcomings, it is still an excellent DLC pack and I think that most Fallout fans are going to appreciate what Lonesome Road is doing for the New Vegas story.Īll in all, Fallout New Vegas: Lonesome Road DLC is a worthwhile investment for the Fallout Fans out there. Because of this issue, the story was very linear which is disappointing considering how other DLC packs had a open world feel and look to them and that is what Fallout New Vegas DLC is all about. I also think that since the developers had to stick to fleshing out the main story line, it limited how much story telling they could do which left this pack a little flat. I think this may have something to do with the shift of focus from more story intense packs to packs that include more content. The story itself, while interesting in terms of the main story to Fallout New Vegas, it just isn’t all that interesting overall. Unfortunately the story of Lonesome Road is not as compelling as some of the other DLC packs including Honest Hearts and Old World Blues. Some of the lengthier side mission include locating all of ED-E’s upgrades and finding all of the bomb locations which are just two missions among many others. Any player that plays the game at a slower pace and really explores the environment will find there is much more there than meets the eye. I estimate there is at least 15 hours of addition content for players who move briskly through content. There is much more to the story than just the main story line, there are lots of side missions and challenges for those inclined to try them out. Something Fallout fans should pay special attention to is the sheer amount of content there is Lonesome Road. Nothing that ED-E says is all that prolific, but it still fills in crucial story elements concerning your character which is always a good thing. ![]() You gain access to ED-E fairly early on and thought there isn’t an incredible amount of depth to the character, there is still an endearing quality to the relationship you have with it. With this change of sharing the New Vegas map, I found access to supplies to be much improved and made it easier for me to enjoy the journey to the end.Īnother aspect I enjoyed was the players interaction with your DLC companion ED-E. This left me in a number of sticky situations where I was almost unable to finish the DLC. Especially in Old World Blues I found that the 10 to 20 stimpacks that were in the home area were the only stimpacks in the area. When playing other DLC packs that transported the characters to a brand new map, it was often difficult to get the supplies you needed to finish the mission you were on. This has been a source of controversy among Fallout fans but I personally like this change. This gives players full access to weapon-smiths and stimpacks whenever they are needed since they are found in abundance on the New Vegas map. This time you remain in the Fallout New Vegas map and what this allows you to do is fast travel to anywhere in New Vegas. ![]() However, this is a little different than your standard Fallout DLC. This DLC pack starts out like all the other DLC packs with a stray radio signal detection. So let’s start out by talking about what you should expect when playing this piece of DLC. You spend the rest of the time uncovering pieces of your past as you travel the Lonesome Road. The courier tells you that he knows things about your past but he will only tell you what you want to know if you agree to travel to the area know as “The Divide”. Of course, this is the job that got you shot in the head and buried just outside of the New Vegas strip. In this adventure you meet up with the courier that rejected the job you ended up taking. The time has come for the Final piece of DLC to come out for the latest edition of the Fallout franchise, Fallout New Vegas. ![]()
